A former Brisbane child protection police officer accused of sending “sexual and suggestive” messages to a teenage girl he met during an investigation has been found guilty of child grooming offences.
- Former police officer Matthew Hockley and a 15-year-old girl exchanged more than 1,000 messages over a period of three weeks
- Hockley admitted to adding the girl on Snapchat and sending her messages but denied sending any other sexually explicit messages
- Hockley’s bail has been extended until Friday and he will be sentenced later this week
